How to Make a Wallet or a Purse Out of Kool-Aid Wrappers
Candy wrapper purses are a fun, fashionable way to collect and use your old wrappers. This project uses Kool-Aid wrappers to make a wallet or a small purse. Collect various colors of Kool-Aid wrappers or use all one color to create a sleek look. Your wallet will be one-of-a-kind and can be made in an afternoon.
Things You'll Need:
- Heavy cardstock
- Glue stick
- Clear packing tape
- Kool-Aid packets (empty)
-
Step 1
Cut a piece of heavy cardstock to the size you would like your wallet or small
purse to be. Use a wallet or purse you already own as a template.
-
Step 2
Glue the Kool-Aid packets to the front of the cardstock using a glue stick. This will hold the wrappers until you cover everything with packing tape.
-
Step 3
Cover the front with packing tape.
-
Step 4
Turn the cardstock over and repeat steps 2 and 3.
-
Step 5
Cut out a piece of cardstock that is as long as the original, covered piece and half as wide.
-
Step 6
Cover this piece with Kool-Aid wrappers on both sides. Glue the wrappers down and cover entirely with packing tape.
-
Step 7
Turn the original piece and place it lengthwise. Position the second piece lengthwise on top of the first, and line them up at the bottom.
-
Step 8
Tape the second piece to the first one on all sides except for the top. You now have a pocket for your money or credit cards.
-
Step 9
Bend the wallet in half long wise. Place something heavy, such as a heavy book, on top of the wallet overnight to keep the shape and deepen the fold.
- You can add a button or snap closure by sewing a button and string or two snap closures to the wallet.

That is very cute!!
it rocks cause it is very unusual XD
