a young, female entrepreneur, a yoga teacher, hula-hooper and Burlesque dancer, the owner of POP Fizz Academy (an alternative dance, health and wellness school offering fun, frisky and empowering in-person classes and workshops and e-courses), addicted to my juicer, almost constantly filled with wanderlust, a dreamer, a to-do list lover, a big ol’ belly laugher!
My passion is for:
helping women to discover that juicy, yummy, awesomeness of their beautiful bodies!
My business helps you:
develop a healthy relationship with your body and mind through fun and inventive workshops and classes. I aim to bring women together in an environment that is always supportive, inspirational and nurturing. Through our various classes in yoga, burlesque, hula-hoop, bellydance (and new upcoming styles this summer) women can stretch their confidence muscles while building a community and most importantly– laughing until your sides hurt!
My biggest challenge is:
living abroad and spending time physically away from my business. I have five wonderful, talented teachers that work for POP Fizz, who run classes and workshops while I’m away and I am so lucky to have them. I am a Philadelphian native, but have spent large chunks of time living abroad in England and Greece. While technology helps me to run my business and e-courses from abroad, I sometimes find it challenging to not be as “hands-on” as I would like to be. Oh.. and the time difference!
I make things different each day by:
not teaching Burlesque classes that focus solely on “how to be sexy” or “how to please your partner”. All of my classes are woman-centered and I firmly believe that confidence grows from within. I want every woman to leave my classes feeling like a goddess!
I have lots of ideas about:
buying an RV and living nomadically, working a location-independent job, living a lifestyle that is filled with passion and enthusiasm.
My advice is:
to wake up every morning and know, really know, that you have so many qualities that are totally and utterly gorgeous and you deserve to love and be loved fully and deeply!
“I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the
decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate.
It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power
to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an
instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In
all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is
escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or dehumanized. If
we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as
they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of
