Step 3
Cover your entire face and
swim cap with Vaseline. Make sure that you have smeared the Vaseline over every part of your face, head and neck.
-
Step 4
Soak a plaster strip and apply the strip to your face and front of the head only, starting wherever you would like.
-
Step 5
Continue the soaking and applying process as you move your way around your head. When you get to the eyes and nose, be sure to cut holes in the plaster strips before soaking so you can see and breathe.
-
Step 6
Wait until the plaster has dried on the front of your face. This could take up to 2 hours, so be prepared to be patient during this time. Moving excessively could cause the plaster to distort and lose its shape.
-
Step 7
Remove the cast.
-
Step 8
Repeat these steps to create the cast of the back of your head.
-
Step 9
Lay the front of the head cast on your work surface with the face downwards. Apply plaster strips to the eye and nose holes to cover them up.
-
Step 10
Place the front and back cast pieces together, joining the edges. Soak additional pieces of plaster and apply the plaster to the seam. Allow the strips to dry completely.
